A successful cement job is one of the most important factors for of any well. There are many challenges involving increased reservoir depth, downhole temperature and pressure. Achieving wellbore integrity is more complicated than ever before. To overcome these challenges, PVI developed CEMPRO, an integrated cementing software that aids in the design and optimization of various cementing job parameters.

Applicable for all land, offshore, conventional or foamed operations, CEMPRO enables both service companies and operators to assess the risk of possible cement failure as a function of slurry placement, cement sheath properties, wellbore properties, and temperature change. It ensures well security at all times during cementing jobs.

Along with PVI's centralizer placement model, CentraDesign, the field-proven CEMPRO has become the most advanced yet easy-to-use cementing design tool available in the industry.

PVI is launching a free cementing visualization app called CEMPRO Lite, a condensed version of CEMPRO that helps users quickly and accurately perform slurry volume calculations and facilitate the viewing of wellbore schematics with fluids. CEMPRO is also available as a free cementing visualization app called CEMPRO Lite, a condensed version of the software that helps users quickly and accurately perform slurry volume calculations facilitating the viewing of wellbore schematics with fluids. CEMPRO Lite helps create realistic casing/working strings in one session using a variety of different string combinations. With CEMPRO Lite users are also able to view wellbore schematics with fluids by specifying the fluid location or the pumping volume.

This sophisticated, yet simple to use free app not only saves time and money, but also helps users better understand cementing jobs than ever before! The CEMPRO Lite app can handle up to 10 pipe sections and a maximum of 10 circulating fluids.

    Well Cementing, 2nd Edition - $198

Erik B. Nelson and Dominique Guillot, published by Schlumberger, 2006.

Cementing is arguably the most important operation performed on a well. Well cementing technology is an amalgam of many interdependent scientific and engineering disciplines which are essential to achieving the primary goal of well cementing - zonal isolation. This textbook is a comprehensive and up-to-date reference concerning the application of these disciplines to cementing a well. "Well Cementing" is envisioned as an upper-level university book, as well as a reference for practicing engineers and scientists.
