Cementing Software: From Planning to Well Life
May 8, 2018, 11:30AM - 1:30PM
Description:
Cementing operations involve many variables and are critical to the successful construction of a well, but they can also be challenging to simulate and predict. Software is used to predict ECDs while displacing mud with cement, the correct number and placement of centralizers to achieve a desired standoff, the efficiency of mud displacement, and much more.
During this lunch and learn, we will present on our cementing software suite:
- CEMVIEW – Cementing Engineering Toolbox
- CentraDesign – Standoff and Centralizer Placement Model
- CEMLab – Cementing Laboratory Testing and Data Management
- CEMPRO – Mud Displacement
- PlugPRO – Balanced Plug Cementing
- CEMLife – Cement Stress
During this lunch and learn, PVI’s cementing software suite will be used to discuss:
- Centralizer standoff and placement recommendations
- Expected ECDs during circulation
- Temperature changes in the fluids being pumped
- Contamination levels of mud and cement
- Cement integrity post-job
