Nuts and Bolts of Torque and Drag

Jun. 12, 2019 | 11:30AM - 1:30PM | PVI Conference Room, Houston, TX

Description:

TADPRO is used to model operations by both service companies and operators, playing a significant role in the selection of pipe/casing sizes and weights, the ultimate expected reach of a lateral, and a variety of factors.

Friction occurs within every wellbore and during every phase of well construction. The resistance in rotation and the movement of the strings going up and down the wellbore are just some examples of this. Torque and drag affects drilling, completion, workover, running casing, and every operation that involves movement, therefore, practically every downhole operation.

During our lunch and learn session, we will go over the nuts and bolts of TADPRO and discuss:

  • Torque and Drag theory
  • The benefits and limitations of Torque and Drag software
  • Common errors engineers make when modeling
  • Applying tortuosity to a planned well path
  • Interpreting Torque and Drag graphs
Join us for an in-depth discussion of these principles at our complimentary TADPRO Lunch & Learn session. As attendees, not only will you get to interact and gain insight from the developers behind TADPRO, but you’ll also be receiving a free 10-day license* to use and familiarize yourself with this software.Catering will be served during this session.
