Nuts and Bolts of Torque and Drag
**This luncheon session has been cancelled**
We have another Torque and Drag lunchon on Decemebr 12, 2019.
Description:
TADPRO is used to model operations by both service companies and operators, playing a significant role in the selection of pipe/casing sizes and weights, the ultimate expected reach of a lateral, and a variety of factors.
Friction occurs within every wellbore and during every phase of well construction. The resistance in rotation and the movement of the strings going up and down the wellbore are just some examples of this. Torque and drag affects drilling, completion, workover, running casing, and every operation that involves movement, therefore, practically every downhole operation.
During our lunch and learn session, we will go over the nuts and bolts of TADPRO and discuss:
- Torque and Drag theory
- The benefits and limitations of Torque and Drag software
- Common errors engineers make when modeling
- Applying tortuosity to a planned well path
- Interpreting Torque and Drag graphs
